Linda's Frankie in Mardi Gras Colorway

Linda’s Frankie in Mardi Gras Colorway

In 2014, NJNA conducted a member-taught workshop for the wonderful Michael Boren piece “Frankie”.  The design reminds one of the stained glass window creations of Frank Lloyd Wright.  Two of our members previously stitched this piece and they volunteered to teach the workshop for us.  We ordered twelve copies of the design and conducted the workshop over four sessions.  One for prework, and then three for filling in the wonderful squares and rectangles!

Most of us chose our own color scheme for the workshop although several members decided to stay with the suggested colorways.  What fun we have had stitching together!

In 2015, many of us elected to exhibit our Frankies at the Woodlawn exhibit.  The pieces were all hung together and we received many wonderful comments about the display.
