2006 Community Service Project — A Bouquet for Helena

In July 2005, the guild lost one of its members, Helena Robinson, after her long battle with cancer.

As a community service project the following year, NJNA guild members stitched various flowers & plants on needlepoint canvas.

Following a month-long exhibition at the Freylinghuysen Arboretum dedicated to Helena, the needlepoint pieces now have a permanent home at the Somerset Medical Center’s Steeplechase Cancer Center.

This project was documented in Needlepointers Magazine:  September 2007 Needlepointers
